Readers have asked, "What is the difference between the remains found in 2012 and the remains found in 2013, with regard to the two Persons of Interest, Billie Dunn, Hailey's mother, and Shawn Adkins, Billie Dunn's boyfriend.
In 2012, both were visible and there appeared no tension from Shawn Adkins.
In 2013, Shawn Adkins has not made any appearances, and has not be seen in the area.
But there is also this to consider, especially given the timing:

This was issued after remains were found in Scurry County. Why would this be?
Does this suggest conclusion? Has the search come to an end where "thanks" are now due to those who did, in deed, put in many hours in an attempt to locate Hailey Dunn's remains? Note that in the latter edition, "hope" is added, which has been pointed out, is similar to the handling of the Caylee Anthony "missing" child case by Cindy Anthony, seeking to taint future jurors into believing that murder charges were inappropriate because "Caylee was still alive" (in Brooklyn, NY). This transparent attempt at manipulation was not lost on Florida media, who did not seek to soften questioning of George and Cindy Anthony, but who's commentary including truthful and accurate accounts of the deception perpetrated by the Anthonys.
Not so in Texas where some stations even refused to call both mother and boyfriend "Persons of Interest" and kept questions to "how are you coping?" rather than "Why did you fail the polygraph? Why did you lie to police? Why did you..." type of questions that investigative journalism calls for.

Note that later, it was edited again to remove Marc Klaas' name from it. Marc Klass publicly condemned Billie Dunn on The Nancy Grace Show for lying to police. Note in the 2nd edition, media is thanked. We have noted that local media often avoided asking direct or relevant questions of the mother.
Note that in the first, the searchers are thanked for "loving" Hailey, and in the second, "news families" are also said to have been "loving" Hailey.
Is this something that media deserved?
Is it something that media should be doing?
Imagine the criticism when arrests are effected and the subtle and emerging realization settles in among some who will be honest enough to admit, "I was taken in by a sociopathic killer."
Less imagination is needed to predict denial among others.
