Does Victoria Beckham trust her husband?
Celebrities often provide us with excellent examples for learning Statement Analysis.
Trusting one's spouse is a fundamental emotion common to all humans, whether or not they are wealthy and famous, or little known. Being "special" to one's spouse, is everyone's expectation and when that is broken, the damage can be acute. Debasing one's own self to maintain a family, an image or an social or economic lifestyle can still be humiliating to the subject. Often, we view celebrities as above such emotions, particularly since so much of what is said in public is orchestrated for the purpose of publicity, yet even when questions are asked, the words chosen do not come from a vacuum, but from the brain.
The following is a short sample of sensitivity indicators:
"I really do believe deep down that I have the most faithful husband I could hope for."
- Victoria Beckham
The shortest sentence is considered best.
"I have a faithful husband" would be a short way of saying this. Each additional word shows weakness in the assertion. This is similar to Ryan Braun's 'denial' statement of using drugs to enhance his home run performance last year.
Note how many sensitivity indicators weaken her assertion:
1. "really" qualifies
2. "believe", which allows for herself or someone else to believe otherwise
3. "deep down" is where this belief is. This indicates other beliefs which may be on the surface, or not so deep down
4. the most" is a comparison
5. "I could hope for": this qualifies what kind of husband she could "hope" for, and not the kind she actually has.
This is more of an admission than an assertion.
